KCNAA Standing and Special Committees

Membership
The Membership Committee, chaired by the First Vice President is responsible for developing and coordinating plans for increasing membership in the Association and for developing and strengthening local Alumni Chapters.

Fundraising Committee
The Committee is chaired by the Second Vice President and is responsible for coordinating national fundraising initiatives. The committee develops and implements the Association’s fundraising strategy.

Budget and Finance Committee
The Committee is chaired by the Treasurer with the Financial Secretary serving as a member. The Committee establishes and maintains procedures to insure proper handing of Association funds.

Bylaws Committee
The Committee is chaired by the Parliamentarian and is responsible for keeping the Association’s Bylaws current. The Committee reviews and submits to the Association recommended changes and/or amendments for approval.

Life Membership Committee
The Life Membership Committee recruits and enrolls those members seeking life membership status. This Committee works with the Membership and Budget and Finance Committees to ensure that a proper balance is maintained for Association revenue.

Nominations Committee
The Nominations Committee conducts the process for selection of candidates and the election of Officers of the Association.

Alumni Awards and Honors Committee
The Committee develops procedures for the recognition of chapters, and services and contributions of alumni and individuals on behalf of the Association. The Committee plans and conducts an annual Awards and Honors Luncheon for the Association at Homecoming.

KCean Newsletter Committee
The Committee edits and publishes the KCean Newsletter.

Regional Development Coordination
This Ad Hoc Committee comprising a coordinator, the First Vice President and President will evaluate and make recommendations regarding leadership functions at the regional level.

Alumni Information Center Coordination
Led by a coordinator, this Ad Hoc Committee will develop and maintain procedures for the operation of a centralized site for the update of Association member contact information, dissemination of large volume mailings and repository for presidential information releases.
